We are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), with valuations always carried out using the universally-recognised standard for valuation reports, issued and governed by RICS and known as Red Book Valuations.

Property valuations for a wide range of purposes

Valuations can be required for a wide range of purposes other than selling, including to reflect market changes, to secure bank lending and refinancing, for strategic asset planning, probate, and tax purposes such as share transfers, inheritance tax, stamp duty land tax, income tax, corporation tax, and Capital Gains tax.

Valuations can also be required for partnerships, as assets for company and individuals’ accounts, and in connection with the valuation of overall companies or businesses.

We also regularly prepare Expert Witness Reports for use in Court proceedings for various purposes, including where there are disputes as to value, arising out of various circumstances.
